- May 28, 2003: Sadako Ogata made a statement at Payne Lecture, Stanford University titled "Empowering People for Human Security."
- May 26 and 27, 2003: Frene Ginwala and Africa Institute of South Africa convened a civil society meeting to review the report. Vice President Jacob Zuma participated in this meeting
- May 21, 2003: Frene Ginwala submitted the report to Mr. Thabo Mbeki, President of the Republic of South Africa in Capetown.
- May 13, 2003: Peter Sutherland and Sadako Ogata presented the report at the Graduate Institute for International Studies, Geneva, Switzerland
- May 8, 2003: Sadako Ogata Presented the report to the Human Security Network in Graz, Austria

May 26 and 27, 2003: Frene Ginwala and Africa Institute of South Africa convened a civil society meeting to review the report. Vice President Jacob Zuma participated in this meeting
With more than 100 participants mainly from African civil society organizations, the meeting focused on interrogating and challenging the Commission's report, and examined how African civil society can implement it. Jacob Zuma, Vice President of the Republic of South Africa, participated in a session, and eargerly discussed with other participants how Africa can deal with ongoing serious violent conflicts and sustain peace processes.
The meeting also focused on how Africa can ensure the minimum living standard for all the people living in the continent. Africa Institute of South Africa was in charge of organizing this event, under the aegis of Frene Ginwala, Speaker of Parliament and a commissioner.

Frene Ginwala submitted the report to Mr. Thabo Mbeki, President of the Republic of South Africa in Capetown on May 21, 2003
In the presence of a number of South African ministers and parliamentarians, including the Vice President, Commissioner Frene Ginwala submitted the report to Mr. Thabo Mbeki, the President of South Africa at the National Assembly of South Africa in Capetown. Sadako Ogata, co-chair of the Commission was not able to attend the ceremony but sent a video message to the president.
The President welcomed the completion of the Commission's work, and raised the need to publisize it in Africa and generate public discussion on human security.

Sadako Ogata and Peter Sutherland presented the report to the public audience at the Graduate Institute for International Studies, Geneva, Switzerland on May 13, 2003.
The Graduate Institute for International Studies in Geneva, headed by Mr.Conelius Sommaruga, held a seminar to introduce the Commission's report to the general public, academia and the international organizations in Geneva. As many as 250 people joined the launching. Details will be available at the web site of the Institute soon.

Sadako Ogata presented Commission's report to the Ministerial Meeting of the Human Security Network on May 8, 2003 in Graz, Austria
The fifth ministerial meeting of the Human Security Network (HSN) was convened by Dr. Benita Ferrero-Waldner, foreign minister of Austria, on May 8-10, 2003 in Graz Austria. This time, HSN member countries invited co-chair Sadako Ogata to brief participants on the final report of the Commission. At the opening ceremony organized by the city of Graz. Also on May 9, Ogata discussed with HSN members how the Commission can form partnership with the Network.

Sadako Ogata and Amartya Sen, the co-chairs of the Commission presented the report to Mr. Kofi Annan, Secretary-General of the United Nations and to the Council on Foreign Relations in New York on May 1, 2003. Distinguished members of the Council as well as media joined the launch.
